Go to >Windows mobility center* Then turn off > Wireless network(Turn wireless off)Thats not much memeory at all to be used... When is the last time you did regular maintenance on this PC such as diskclean defrag and Malware scans ? ?You opened Task Manager and saw 100% CPU usage, right? So, exactly what process(es) was using CPU resources? Task Manager shows the % for each process. @Patio I Did a disk clean about a week ago. This problem happen out of no where and I haven't defraged my PC since like a month ago but there was a setting where you set the time and DAY you wanted to defrag and its set on everyday at 4:00 pm Malware I haven't scan for yet@soybean It was a process called WmiPrvSE.exe and the description said WMI Provider host
I read online that this is important and of you try to delete this it will just reappear But in didnt know that so I deleted it and my CPU usage started going down and it reappeared back where all the processes are. And quick question for @soybean & @Patio. When the High CPU problem happened I had MALWAREBYTES and it said it was outdated so I NEEDED to update it and when I did A blue screen appeared and it said something about a device driver attempting to corrupt has been caught. A faulty driver currently on te kernel stack must be replaced with a working
@s375 Ill see if this helps Thanks (:Ok I read online how to fix the problem I think. I went to start Search run on start search Put msconfig ( something like that) And when to startup and click disabled all Then I restarted my PC and the WmiPrvSE.exe processes dosent use alot of CPU Usage anymore but whenever i start my PC the CPU Usage starts at 100% then lowers back to below 50% CPU Usage But even since its slow my PC still goes slow. Also whenever I run Disk Cleanup it never used to use so my CPU usage and now it does.
