What kind of sound card do you have? 8-)fffreakhi thanks YES i have installed the updated driver it is the c media ac97 this happened before and the sound CAME back on its own but i had to replace the motherboard at the weekend and it has happened again any ideas fffreak :-?Is the onoboard AUDIO on the motherboard STILL on in the BIOS? You have to turn that off if you have an additional sound card. If it is a different motherboard and no additional sound card you have to load the appropriate drivers for the new board.
