The New Intel stuff is is the Intel Core i5 and Core i7 He did not say where he goes to school. With an older Intel CPU the teachers will not - give you the attention your deserve.Why not? Why do teachers snub students with older cpus? I've never heard of this. What kind of teacher would do this? Besides, the op said he wants to purchase a pc for study purpose. It's not clear whether he means he wants to study the pc itself, or use the pc for studying school subjects. Also, why is a macbook the best choice? That makes no sense to me. I have only amount to purchase a branded computer not new one or latest version. My friends suggests me to purchased Pentium D or Dual core. More than likely depending on your course curriculum the software component may become more important than the computer itself.Also if you desire (need) portability to use it both at home and at school that may make a laptop your best purchase.
