Answer» HI guyz i have something very wrong with my computer, after we had a power out i found that the computer was bringing up a screen telling me what i want to do in regards to starting up the pc, and so i clicked on windows start up normally and then i catch a glimpse of the windows xp loading bar and a blue screen followed which went something like this: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shutdown to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you have seen this message restart your computer otherwise do the following; Disable or uninstall any antivirus,disk defragmentation or back-up utilities, check your hard drive configuration and check for any updated drivers. Run CHDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption then restart your computer. ***STOP: 0x00000024(0x00190203,0x82cc0830,0xC0000102,0x00000000) thanx for your help, anything is muchly appreciated if you need any more info feel free to ask thanks again AaronWhen you get back to that black screen, choose Safemode.
