Answer» so the problem im having is that everytime i try to download anything on my computer a message pops up saying "your computers settings do not allow this FILE to be downloaded" so this is getting really annoying and i have already tried permiting things and making sure my firewall isnt blocking it and also i changed my internet settings to low but im still getting this dumb message so i was wondering if there is something else i can do to figure out how to stop thisTiggah,
Click on Tools-->Internet Options Click on the Security tab Click on Custom Level Scroll down to the section called Downloads Make sure the File Download option is set to Enable.grrr so i did that and all of them are set to enable... so i dont know if this is a virus that is doing this but im stuck cause i cant download virus protection cause i cant download anything... sexytiggah.....What operating SYSTEM are you using ? Do you have a anti virus installed and is it working ? Is this something that has just started.
dl65 im using windows xp home um the only kind of virus protection stuff i have is norton internet security i used to have a virus protection program but somehow it got deleted or something. now i know that i have multiple VIRUSES because i did housecall a few weeks ago and quite a few showed up. so i tryed to download AntiVir from www.download.com but since my computer wont let me download anything i cant even get rid of any viruses if thats the cause of this problem. oh and this has been going on for at least the last month or twosexytiggah.......Do you have a floppy disk drive on your computer?
dl65 yes i do why?Isp over-usage......time.........check with your isp provider....who may have blocked downloads...TYPE ping then the WEBSITE in the cmd prompt........what does it reveal/?
