Answer» I need help fast. I got a new PC, I am giving the old one
to a friend at work, but I want to delete my saved files from it.
The problem is that when I right click to highlight the file and delete
it.. the mouse pointer stays as an HOUR glass for like 90 seconds!!
How do I stop it from doing this? I wanted to get it all cleaned up
tonight so we can deliever it to her tommorow.. can somone PLEASE

is WIN 98.There's the problem; it's Windows 98! (Just kidding)
Did removing AV SOLVE the problem, or is it still too SLOW?
And you're gonna hate me for this, but I must ask: Did the computer get scanned for viruses? Backdated has an excellent post here about making sure the computer doesn't have a virus.
