Answer» O.K....I know its suposed to send and receive but its doing it non stop like its downloading something. I will check my task manager and have NOTHING running but its WORKING so hard I can hardly surf the web. I left it connected last night to see if it would stop and its still doing it this morning. Its sent over 110 Million BYTES, & receved over 24 Million. Its like I have a leach or something. I have NO personal info on my computer, Its a OLD 166, I just surf with. It just started doing this yesterday. What could it be? I have restarted my computer and reconnected it many times & it just keeps doing it. Help please.Install and run antivirus and spyware apps found in the sticky on the Virus forum. I'd download and update the programs then PHYSICALLY disconnect the SYSTEM from your modem. Sounds like you've got an autodialer. |
