Answer» Hi,I am wondering if someone knows how can I locate my phone - Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom. It was STOLEN yesterday. My google account is connected with my phone. And I have IMEI number. First of all - Contact the police straight away.
Assuming you don't already have anti-theft apps installed, you may want to try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout.labs.planb&hl=en_GB - It's designed to be installed from your computer over Google Play so as long as the phone is turned on and connected to your account it should install. This will let you get its location.I have contacted the police almost immediately - an hour after I was robbed, but I am not sure that they could help. I am from Serbia and the police here is not as much bothering with stolen phones as they should- that is almost considered to be "small crime".
And about Plan B (that app) - I have downloaded it yesterday evening but it says:
① Install Plan B from the Android MARKET website (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.lookout.labs.planb) to the phone that you are trying to find ② Plan B will start automatically and send your phone’s location to your Gmail address ③ To locate again after 10 minutes, borrow a friend’s phone and text the word “locate” to your lost phone
I have done the first thing but nothing happened.
And person who has stolen my phone took out SIM card immediately - it was offline SINCE robbing.
I have tried with Android Device Manager but it says last time online: 01.11.2014. (that was me yesterday morning) and since nothing changes. And yeah Android Device Manager cannot WORK WITHOUT my phone having wifi or internet connection.
