Solve : HELP! computer lagging?

okay...this is getting really frustrating but...i have a really good COMP...2.8ghz...hyperthreading technology...about 115GB of memory. HOWEVER my COMPUTER constantly lags like crazy. I look at other computers...like the 2.6 and 2.4Ghz ones and they don't lag at ALL! WTH is up with MY computer? Why does it lag so much? i don't get it! Can someone PLEASE help me?Have you SCANNED your machine for virus and adware??you could try this>http://www.systweak.com/115GB of memory?

Which Make and Model of Processor do you have?

115 Gb is drive-space and is not related to memory.

To see how much RAM (Random Access Memeory) is fitted in your computer right-click My Computer and open the 'Properties' box.

Is it 256 Mb, 512 Mb, 768 Mb, 1024 Mb, or more?

You could also try turning off the hyperthreading.
it is 512 mbIf you do a lot of gaming you should add another 512 Mb of RAM. XP will take up to 4 Gb of RAM if the mainboard is the right design.

It depends on what sort of programs you use but it also depends on whether your system is clean of virii and trojans or not.
