Solve : Hard Drive Reformatting won't work?

Answer»

After a few weeks of working perfectly, my computer SUDDENLY decided to break down yesterday. At the Windows loading screen (where the windows logo comes out and the little green loading bar comes up) it would just stop and stay at that screen.
After checking online, I finally decided to just reformat the entire thing, so I popped in the Windows CD, GOT NVidia Raid Drivers, deleted the old partition, and tried to reinstall. It said that it needed to reformat my hard drives, so I did.
But, during the formatting, it would go to 100% and then do nothing, even if LEFT on for a few hours. So I turned the computer off, and tried again. This time, the formatting WENT to 58% and would then do nothing. After trying this many times,  and flashing the BIOS to the one the motherboard came with, it still wouldn't work.
My specs, if needed, are:
Athlon 64 4000+
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
1gig pc3200 RAM
2x 74.5 WD 10000rpm hard drives
Have you tried Western DIGITAL's drive diagnostic diskette on both drives to see if they are OK?

Look for loose wiring in the cabinet and re-seat your RAM modules, cards, etc. before trying again.

Click the link below for more info.I bought my Hard Drives OEM, so I didn't get a diskette. Could I call them and get one or something? You should be able to download one from the WD site.Western Digital Service and Supportoh cool, thanks
