HD HOOKED up via firewire at the moment cause alot of my USB ports are full and I dont have an esata port (nor would I be able to use some of the features on the drive using esata). want to see how much difference between USB and firewire. I know that firewire is 400mb/s and 480mb/s for USB, but thats max and WONT always hit those speeds. toyed with the idea of getting an esata pci card, in which id have to remove my 56k modem (i have CABLE, so no need for it), but like I said I wont be able to use some of the features on the drive, but in the future i may switch over. In the mean time, I want the fastest connection possible.HDD Tune Includes transfer rate monitor, SMART status and HDD info tools.
