is it possible to backup an entire LAPTOP hard drive via usb to another hard drive including operating system? via usb. will the new drive have everything including complete OS. will it now BOOT the laptop if installed in its hard drive bay? thanks for helpYou can use a program such as Acronis TrueImage or Norton Ghost to make an image of the HDD.
This will include everything on the current HDD.
It is often used when changing the hard disk, or to make a backup in case the drive fails.
