Solve : Great answers require great questions...so WHY??

Answer»

Often, when issues in the news or in the world are discussed I hear people ask "why".... On those occasions when I attempt to answer my humble opinion "why" I find myself getting these strange looks as if the person who asked why does not expect an answer. Some may even call it " a rhetorical question " meaning no answer is expected or required.

Is it possible that THAT is part of the problem in "HOPING" to find out why; anything. If we don't expect or worse yet don't want an answer maybe the universe understands that we are giving permission to those who may in fact be at least in part responsible for the calamities of modern day living.

This might be a good PLACE to air my thoughts on the matter.

It will be important ( or so it seems to me ) to identify at least one aspect of how we as a culture/society got to this place where so many things are pushing peoples buttons which result in a form of madness ( IMHO ) that can hardly be ADDRESSED because it seems as if things have been this way forever.

I have identified several changes in the way people deal with people that seem to me to be at least in part the genesis of this craziness that shows up in the evening news as school shootings for instance. If we take that one subject " school shootings " it seems to me that we always hear the same arguments which may or may not be in part something to look into further.

Where does the idea come from to want to do harm to others. What and or who rattles the cage of a shooter? Before it seems that I want to talk about school shootings only or in particular, I want to say that I am only using that as an example because it is on the news so much lately. But I can use the example of health care also and ask: how did we get to this place where no one is shocked by any number ( dollar amount ) we hear for an emergency room visit? How is it that we have become numb to INFORMATION of any kind that is screaming at us saying that something is wrong in ways that more often than not are not identified.

I'm HOLDING back here because I want to say one word followed by a few more words that will be hard to see as perhaps the genesis of human behaviors going awry. But I would like to open up the floor for thoughts and replies.

If there was a way of embedding a little envelope with a few words and thoughts that I believe will be mentioned I'd like to do that but that's probably not possible. The point being that the reasons most people will mention will more than likely be the same ones we hear in political discussions where the obvious is more than likely not the right reason but it will get a lot of talk time while the obscure is missed or not even thought about. Maybe computer people will see through the traps and come up with new things not often seen nor discussed. Let's see what happens.
