Answer» so my b-day is like 5 months away and i've decided i want a new graphics card because i hate ati and it's lame catalyst control center. i prefer nvidia, but my card was a great buy when i got it. anyway, i decided on this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500037 and while i was reading the reviews on it, i came across a couple reviewers who need a new psu because the card requires a minimum 12v CURRENT rating of 24A. i took two engineering COURSES in school, and i forgot like everything having to do with power and amperage and such. my current psu is this model: http://rosewill.com/product/product.aspx?productId=487 and i'm not sure if it can SUPPORT this glutton of a gpu. am i in the clear for it? or do i need a more powerful psu?If you look at the specifications for that PSU on the page you LINKED to, you would see it has dual 12V rails, one providing 17A and the other 18A. The combined output is, apparently, 30A, which is sufficient for that card. Hope this helps.ahh OKAY then. well i appreciate the help!
