Answer» I am trying to watch some sermons on Google Video and have a problem. The video buffers to about 3 minutes then stops buffering. The video is about 50 minutes long. I can't get it to load all the WAY. I have tried watching it on my laptop also and it does the same thing. I have also tried using different internet browsers, but I still get the same problem. When I watch videos on YouTube or Godtube I have no problems at all, but I do have problems watching videos on Google. Does anyone know what the problem is?
This may have something to do with your internet connection; the amount of RAM installed; the amount of free space on the drive etc.... Post more details on your system and the other variables above and someone will be along shortly.Alright well I tried Google video on both my Windows XP and Vista. I have DSL for both (100.0 Mbps). I have 640 MB of Ram.Anyone know what could be the problem?Strange that this WOULD be happening with different OSs. Could you give us a link to the Google Video you're trying to watch maybe it's something with the video. Also who is your ISP?http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9198548346048126674&q=peter+ruckman&total=43&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=7
There is one of the videos that won't load all the way for me.
Here is my ISP. I use their lowest DSL right now. I'm thinking it has something to do with the ISP, but it is weird that this happens only with Google videos and not Youtube, Limewire and I can download movies of the internet WITHOUT any problem at all.
http://portal.highland.net/Well I've been running the video in the background on this computer while doing other things and it seems to be going fine so obviously not a video issue, which is what I expected. But thought it would be worth a try.
I did some additional searching and you're not the only one encountering this issue. I happened to find Googles response to this issue as well, unfortunately based off what you've tried I don't think it will help. Likely an issue with your ISP.
Quote If the video's buffering is interrupted in any way, an incomplete copy can get stuck in your cache and never fully buffer. You can attempt to restart the buffering by clearing your browser's cache. If the issue continues to happen, you might want to check the stability of your internet connection. I appreciate you taking time out of your day and trying to help me. I guess I'll need to get a FASTER connection?Possibly. It could also be an inconsistency between you and your ISP. So if broadband isn't available but another dial-up connection is you may also want to try that.
