Hi recently i wanted to get an iPod so i looked around to see what types/kinds of IPODS are OFFERED. I got interested in iPod Video so randomly i went to best buy and saw the prices for a 30 GB iPOd Video $379 CAN and that's what Apple has on their website as well. I said that's a little too high for me so luckily i saw next to the brandnew $379 iPod Video there was an openbox 30 GB iPod Video for $303 with the same one year manufacture warranty and 30 days RETURN at store. I wanted to get the black one but they only had a white openbox item. So i said what the heck lets just get this it's $80 cheaper. I was very happy to get a good deal on my iPod until i got home opened up the box and to my surprise the item was a little bit smudged i.e screen had few visible scratches, the back silver plating had non removeable finger prints all over it, and there was no manual/cd inside the box. I found the original headsets which were opened and tangled and a small ipod white/creemish cover which had became duller and few black lines which seemed its been used before.
That's when i got a bad FEELING that i have spent $300 for a used product ? I could have paid $80 more bucks to be fully satisfied that a brand new product is being given to me. But anyways i need your opinion as to did i make a wise desicion in getting an openbox iPod Video for $80 cheaper or did i make a mistake here and should get a brand new one instead ? Also i would like to know if there are any cheap iPod Video deals you know of ? I would appreciate it someone can point me to the right direction.

PS. I live in CanadaiPods are basically the same price wherever you get them, out side of the open box deal you got. If it is too much damage, certainly return it if you can, but this would need to be done soon. Frequently open box items are non-returnable.Yea i will return it in a couple of days i guess. ThxI won my 30 GB Ipod Video off Ebay for $224. It was opened, but never used and was in excellent condition. Other than Ebay, I would SAY Ipods would be the same price everywhere you go.Yea i did a little bit research and you are correct. Thx for the reply
