Answer» I have a used gateway, with windows XP, 50 gig, 254 MB RAM. other than itunes there is not SOFTWARE on the computer. When I turn it on, it runs slow, I see the HDD active with nothing running. anything I try to RUN takes about 3 min to start. XP home edition 2002, svs pack 3, 1.40GHz I also get virtual memory minimum to low, is that correctable by software or hardware? Would it help to restore to factory defaults? If so, how do I do that and keep the drivers for the DVD R/W, and any important files. I bought this used and do not have any original software. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you GaryAdd more RAM, 256MB is just just not ENOUGH ANYMORE.
