Answer» I have comcast broaband cable internet, and I have 3 computers hooked up to a router. I recently began experiencing very brief disconnects from the internet on my personal computer. I'm talking like just an instant, no longer. My AOL Instant messanger will disconnect and then be able to reconnect right away. This happens about once every hour or so. It is also only happening on this computer, not the other two. I've scanned for SPYWARE and viruses, and found nothing.Which operating system are you using? When did this start? Have you made any changes to your system recently? Do you have virus and Spyware protection? Also do you have DSL filters set up on all phone lines in the house ? ? Excellent SUGGESTION, patio. Also, bootzy, call your service provider and see if others have been having the same problem. With some ISP's, this kind of problem is par for the COURSE.
