If you are having to perform repetitive tasks, this program will help you out serendipitously. The user can simulate a series of keystrokes, mouse events, play back previous recordings of keystrokes and mouse events...

Have you used this or a similar program?I haven't had to perform many repetitive tasks but I have recommended the equivalent open-source program AutoHotkey:
http://www.autohotkey.com

It even supports getting the RAM usage of a particular process! (may come in USEFUL if you're away from your computer and you're MAKING a build of some program and you want the build to go faster, and once the usage of, say, Firefox, increases past 100,000K because you have loaded up some clips of, idunno, NASCAR or WHATEVER you watch in YouTube, it will start bookmarking the tabs you have open and closing them.)
It supports performing a task only when LOCKED onto a particular process window so your keystrokes won't misfire   also, I do recall a particular function that would allow it to search for the process window. For example you're making a script that types a certain thing into an online game every few minutes or so, and then.. Windows Update pops up! the macro will halt, and keep alt-tabbing until it finds your game.
