Answer» How to use the usb flash drive in free dos as WELL as my system motherboard doesn't have usb boot option DOS-on-USBOf course, the BIOS must have boot from USB support. Or, if you really really need to boot from USB, you can use a tool such as PLoP to boot from USB via. a boot MANAGER on a CD or Floppy (a disc or a disk...) You can read how to do this here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16822/boot-from-a-usb-drive-even-if-your-bios-wont-let-you/ Or go directly to PLoP: http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanagers.html Though, if you just need basic bootdisk capabilities, a floppy boot disk might offer you more ease of use. The ability to boot from USB is not something that can be ADDED to the BIOS, this is the closest you will get. |
