Answer» Hello,
Having a slight problem getting some pictures from my camera on to my laptop.
I have a USB multi-card Reader / WRITER which I have been using fine for a few months now as the MEMORY card slot on my laptop was basically broken.
As I say, I have had no problems PUTTING this in and taking my pictures from the card on to my computer until today - Now when I put in the card reader and try to open it up I am told I cannot do so until it has been formatted (I have no problems with formatting the card as nothing of major importance is on there at the moment) although when I do click to format I am told that windows is unable to format it either.
This is a major pain as I have no idea why it has now started asking for this then not allowing me to do so.
Not really good with this sort of thing so any other info that is needed please feel free to ask.
Thanks 1) There's a card and a cardreader. What card is it? MMC? SD? MSPRO? Quote from: Treval on February 20, 2010, 09:41:34 AM 1) There's a card and a cardreader. What card is it? MMC? SD? MSPRO?
Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo, 2GB1) Start > run > devmgmt.msc 2) Start > run > diskmgmt.msc
Look in device manager if your card isn't listed as 'external harddrive' or something. Look in disk manager if you can format it from there.
Have you tried formatting the memory card in your camera?
