If you know someone close by who is expert with computers then they - might - be able to recover data from your drive by using a program called GetDataBack. They would need to slave your computer's drive to their machine to effect a recovery. Was the drive partitioned at all? Important data is usually safer on a partition but the ONLY definite way is to have a backup. Can you give more details about your system? System Restore can NOT restore a drive which has been formatted during the recovery process.
