hello
Can any body tell me how to make the folder in Windows invisible ( folder icon + it's name). without using hidden option from the folder attributes.

I guess you can go to Command Prompt and type the following:
Code: [Select]cd C:\Windows\SYSTEM32
attribExcept change 'C:\Windows\system32' to where the file is located.
i am nt CLEAR abt ur views..
why u mentioned specifically abt "system32" folder??
hey are you using attrib in DOS , this is similar to using hiddin attribute we donot need this trick dear.

Note :
i got the way to make folder icon invisible , folder properties -> customise->change icon -> choose the blank one .
This makes the folder icon invisible but still name of the folder is there...

I got a clue that if the name of the folder is "$" and changing some other settings WLD make name also invisible..
bt i dnt knw wat are these "some other settings" .
plz dnt tlk lke ths --> It makes it hard to read your post...
