Yep, we're good, but we're not that good! Quote

Abit NF7S
ATI 9700 PRO
Soundblaster
Net Gear nic
1024 PC 3200
500 watt pw

These are parts I had laying around so I thought I would try building a system..They all worked before..GUESS I'm just not a computer builder.. Mb manual has no beep codes listed..

From that site......"Short(Beep) continuous - POWER supply issue - Please check this is the case with another PSU connected to the motherboard and that all the CONNECTIONS are connected to the motherboard correctly"

To try another PE supply do I need to take the computer part again?

Well from the beep codes that person posted it sounds like MINE has a PW supply PROBLEM,so I plugged in another PW SUP and it does the same thing...... :-?No, you only need to disconnect all the plugs from the drives and motherboard etc, remove 4 screws, remove the original PSU and reverse what you did to remove the original.
However, before jumping the gun, this may not actually be a PSU issue as such; it may be a badly fitted component or a handful of other issues.
have you looked at the ABit forums?OH MY GOD!!!!!!! I'm sorry guys I'm such an idiot... I decided to hook it up to a monitor and it told I didnt have the power hooked to the vid card... Thank to all that tried to help a dummy....
