Solve : File protection?

Answer»

Can i protect my files on my COMPUTER with password or some other WAY. I don't  want  some other people to have access  to themThe easiest way is to use an ARCHIVE tool, such as WinRAR, to put the files in a password protected archive. Then delete the original files so the only copies remaining are inside the archive. It's possible to break the password, but it should provide sufficient protection against most "average joe" computer users. Quote

What Neil said.
Do you already have WinZip by chance?     Lots of folks do.   Instead of RAR, you can zip your files, with a password.

But if you really would sooner encrypt them, here is a FREEWARE idea:

I never knew that... (we need an evil-grinning smilie)Store the files on some type of rewritable media. Remove the media when you are not using the computer. You can use floppies, zip disks, cd/dvd rw, thumb drive, etc. If the file is not on the computer, it can't be accessed.
