Solve : Fiber Optics - Internet speed?

Answer»

Some ISP such as COX or Quest had some kind of
internet speed using Fiber Obtics.. which is obviously
what phonelines/telephone poles use today.. (instead
of wire).

Does anyone here use this kind of internet?
I'd imagine that the only limit to internet speed is the
sever itself.. like whoever hosts 'www.google.com'.

I was just wondering..
Let's see some reviews for people who have it!I think Verizon has that to my neighbors are using that its PRETTY good.I have Fiber Optics from Northwest Internet, a SMALL local company.
I get anywhere from 20MBPS to 60MBPS, usually around 40MBPS.
These are my current stats:

(www.speedtest.net - great speed testing site)
(Remember when WWW used to be something you would capitalize? That was a long time ago..)

It really depends on your service provider, how far away you are from the service provider, and also, how many people are using their CONNECTION. My speeds vary depending on how many people are using the network. According to Northwest Internets website, I can get "Up to 100MBPS"

I don't think this topic is really "off topic", Ill move it into the MAIN "Others" board.
