Does your friend have any protection?
Flamethanks for the fast reply flame . on this 1 flame i would say yes but not 100% sure but will soon find out .if not what would you recomend ? but i would have thought (but could be wrong ) if the person who runs his own site with over 2000 members would be clever enough to get past the firewall or anti virus protection ? i know that admins on some sites can read any pms that some members may have sent but i didnt think he would able to read pms that members have sent on a different site ?cheers .nomadIf they made their custom script, then they might be using that to hack in. Otherwise, all scripts have a security hole in there somewhere. Anyway... For virus protection, I would say download AVG: http://www.grisoft.com/doc/71/lng/us/tpl/tpl01 ... CLICK on AVG 7/1 for Windows at the top. For Spyware protection, assuming this computer is able to handle it as far as requirements, Windows Defender is a good shot... http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=435bfce7-da2b-4a6a-afa4-f7f14e605a0d&displaylang=en ... For a firewall, TRY ZoneAlarm... http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en&lid=nav_za ... Give these a shot. Hopefully that's all there is to it.
FlameShe didn't give her password out did she? Does she use the same login and password for all sites? If not she could format her PC and reinstall Windows and then never go back to the problem site. Of course the above protection should be installed as well.I wouldn't enter a chat room anyway
