Help! I run W2k. I have installed the software to upload photos form my Fuji digital camera (A310). The Finepix viewer is start-upable, I know the USB port works (the computer knows when I am plugging the camera in, or takign it out), the camera is on USB settign when plugged intot he USB port...but...

the camera is supposed to start the Finepix uploading program when it's plugged in, and it doesn't, and I can't get the Finepix viewer to "see" the camera. The Fuji online help suggests checkign the "launch exif" files box in the start->programs->startup mendu, but there is no such thing in this location.

if anybody has had experience here, I would really appreciate some help.

chrisSo, BASICALLY your sayin that the computer IS detecting the camera but you can't view the pictures, right? Did your didital camera come with software that includes photo editing? My camera did, so I'm now wondering if your did..... Also, when you try to view the pictures, and it asks you to select a program froma list for the PICS. to open with, have you tried clicking on search for the right program on the internet? Try it if you have not. Also, is your camera compatible with the operating system? Let me know what you find out...

I have the right software (got it from Fuji). I can open the program (ie the program works).

What is suppsoed to happen is, when I plug the camera in to the USB port, the computer is suppsoed to start the Finepix viewer (this is the program thatuplaods the pics onto my computer and ltet sme looka t/edit them-- its designed for the camera).

Online help says I am suppsoed to find an "exif launcher" box somewhere in w2k and check "launch" for this program, so that when I plug the camera into the USB port, it starts the finepix viewer.

chrisCan you not simply access your camera from Explorer and drag and drop (Or CTRL + C and CTRL + V) your photos? My digital camera is viewed upon as external storage space and I can easily access my photos. I donot need software of any kind.harihari....Are you certain you have installed all of the necessary programs on the Fugi cd ......the icon your looking for should be down in the lower right corner of your monitor....its called Exif launcher.....I just LOADED the same programs onto my pc to D/l pictures from a friends Fuji camera....( USB connection ) works just fine .......Have a read in the manuals and install the software exactly as they tell you to .
