Solve : .exe problem? |

Answer» i have no idea what is wrong with my computer. i ran a free VIRUS scan on it the other day from stopsign.com. i tried manually deleting the files that were infected. shortly after deleting certian files, my computer froze. i RESTARTED it, but an error message came up when the computer started. the error message was in the file C:\winlogon.exe. i cannot find this actual file. whenever i try to open a program (except internet explorer) it says that it cannon find the C:\programfiles\name of program.exe file. i tried to reinstall windows on my computer, which i have been planning to do for a while, but it will not let me because of the same reason....please help me!Quote i tried to reinstall windows on my computer, which i have been planning to do for a while See the following article: How to erase my Hard Disk Drive and start over The website, http://www.stopsign.com looks dodgy.
