Answer» I have this bug on my Windows 2000 proffesional partition...and it's like this... First on the window tab apeard "System Shutdown" Then further on the message it's like: "The sistem is shutting down. Please save all work in progres and logoff. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM" Then is a countdown starting from 1:00 min And finaly still on this window is: "Message: - The system process 'C:\WINNT\sistem32\lsass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code 128. The system will now shut down and restart" I mention that if I disable the network connection this message stops to apears but if I enable the network connection after aprox. 30 min this message apears and exactly how he promise is shutting down my computer and restarts it. Please help me anyone! Scan for viruses. immediatly
Also install the latest Windows security updates.scanned rescanned en rescanned .... this problem i have it from the day one of installation... everything worked well till i maked the connection settings for the network (ip, gateway, etc) then 30 minutes and the first time message apeared... with no connection there were no problems...ever...
thanks anyway... any other suggestions? The Sasser worm sounds like the culprit here. What programs did you use to scan? We may be able to PROVIDE specific instructions for it's removal.

What you should know about the Sasser wormbefore i have posted this TOPIC i have read the last topics and there i SAW errors and errors, but nothing like mine... in one error i saw the recomandation to scan the computer with FxSasser.exe from Symantec... i did also the same thing but nothing.... at the end of running the program tell me that there is no worm Sasser on my computer ...see your post in windows.........
