Answer» Hope I am posting on the correct forum and if not can it be moved to correct one please with notification so I can find it?
I am frustrated with email programs. These are my experiences:
Outlook EXPRESS: like its simplicity (do not need bells and whistles) Problems - some incoming emails mail are going to my deleted folder constantly often some emails cannot be delivered for unknown reasons thus they stop other emails from being DOWNLOADED some recipients tell me that they have sent emails but I never received same
Thunderbird - the folder has to be processed before emails can be accessed. Sometimes the wait is just too long; other times it never finishes processing no matter how long I wait; thus no email use at that time
copy/paste problems are impossible; I do not forward emails for security reasons
Yahoo - I have to continually sign in despite fact I click on 'keep me signed in' button
this program is too 'busy busy' an email program for me. Spend too much time manipulating the program to get things done
Gmail - just TRYING this programs but again I have to sign in every time I access it despite the fact I click the keep signed in button.
With all the programs, I find the help screens less than helpful. Either cannot find my particular problem, or the membership help replies are unclear, often repetitive orthey reinterate to do what I said I had already tried.
Am sure all email programs have their 'faults' but these seem to be major ones that prevent ease of using email and daily frustration in trying to make them work/get help.
Can you clarify what I should be/can be expecting of an email program and perhaps point me in a direction of one that is feasible most of the time? Or better yet if there is help here re these programs would be happy posting questions re one particular program until I get it configured so that it works well
Quote Outlook Express: like its simplicity (do not need bells and whistles) Problems - some incoming emails mail are going to my deleted folder constantly often some emails cannot be delivered for unknown reasons thus they stop other emails from being downloaded some recipients tell me that they have sent emails but I never received same Are you using Message Rules in Outlook Express? That could be the cause of messages going into the deleted folder.
I suggest you contact your ISP regarding the non-receipt problem. Perhaps they have some spam blocker that's interfering with some of your incoming mail. Thanks for the tips - will follow though and get back to you re my progress (hopefully ) Again appreciate your responseQuoteThunderbird - the folder has to be processed before emails can be accessed. I think I am missing something along the WAY but cannot figure out just what it might be. This just started about a month ago.
English lady first said MY emails to her were coming in the deleted folder. She has AOL.
Now hers has cleared up and mine have started - mostley with her emails but on occasion others will also go to the deleted folder.
Like she had a bug, got rid of it and gave it to me
