Answer» I use Windows 98 and have a dial-up CONNECTION. I only go online to read my email via Netscape. Lately I notice that when I try to open my email program it freezes immediately and it takes 25-30 seconds to "unfreeze." I barely have time to read EVEN one message before the screen freezes once again. This is quite disruptive. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
jandal :-?PLEASE post your system specs, and what type of malware protection software you have.fffreak:
Sorry I was so vague in my description. Here is more information...I have an Intel Pentium 166 MHz w/MMX computer that uses Windows 98, 2nd edition and has 64.0 MB RAM. It is approx. 9 years old. I use my ISP (Earthlink) only for dial-up connection and read my email at Netscape (AOL). My email program freezes on me when I try to read messages but my connection is unaffected. If this continues I'll need to report the problem to EITHER Earthlink or someone else. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
jandal :-?This is to notify all of you that I have turned the problem over to my ISP. Thank you.
