I was wondering why I keep getting DSN errors when I try to go to basic websites like msn, yahoo or even websites that I visited 5 minutes earlier. This is happening alot. I can visit msn and go to a different website and try to go back to msn only to get a dsn error message. Can anyone explain? Thanks!!!I think you mean DNS (Domain Name Server).

You do not specify but is this in IE only?

Have you tried these sites in Firefox for example. I am wondering if IE, that your IE has developed some glitch, tho not sure right now how to effect a cure.

Other THOUGHT is - your ISP - and whether there could be an aspect there even.UR right ...DNS error.... I don't use firefox so IM not sure... but this happens on any site i go to.... It will work fine the first time but when I try to return to the site I get errors... Like this one this morning ......

404 error Page can not be found, but I was just on the site not two minutes before.A repeat visit after a reboot - does this bring up a 404 or is it OK?

Seems maybe you are getting this within the same session when RETURNING to a site?.

Still no suggestions for cure but all INFO is potentially useful. What version of IE are you on? If IE7 are you tab browsing?

It could be useful to try Firefox - if you are willing to go grab it and install - it is well worth having anyways and many folks use it more than IE.

Other THING is your ISP, type of connection and then maybe even network settings etc. Also wonder how LONG this has gone on (slow onset, sudden?) - any additions like add-ons or new programs etc ....
really anything that might coincide with the troubles. And, what is your OS?
I have dsl connection.....ie 7..... this now happens all the time.... usually dsn error but now alot of 404 errors...... this is driving me crazy....i cant visit any sites now without this problemIn IE, go Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, click on "Reset" button.
Restart computer.
