Solve : Drive partitioning and formatting software?

Answer»

Can anyone recommend a good PROGRAM?

I have been using a bundled copy of PM 8 the disk of which appears to be giving up.

I am reluctant to buy PM8 as it has not been updated in so long and does not support VISTA so when I do have to upgrade it wouldn't work for me.

Currently running XP and the included paritioning software does't appear to let me get where I need to be anywhere near as easily as PM8 did.

I need to be able to partition and format large drives. I currently have two 500GB in my main machine.

I need to be able to do this PRIOR to installation of windows.

Any recommendations? If your using Windows XP SP2 or 3, you should be fine- what issues are you having?I have an 300gb hd that I have just replaces and want to create only logical partitions. Windows disk management does not appear to want to let me do that. I only want to use this drive as an external back up device.Paragon Partition Manger

FREE but hurry...Darn it. Already bought EASEUS Partition MANAGER and got the drive formatted just as easily as I ALWAYS did with PM8.

Thanks anyway. You know what they say...it's all timing.
