I cannot hear any sound from my computer,when I type something on a INstant Message my computer "beeps".
I cannot play any music files or ANYTHING that has to do with music or sound...Please someone help me.type dxdiag in the run box....and test for sound......is the headphones turned off//or the speakers////are they plugged in....It says there is no sound card..but i sware i have 1Yes everything is plugged in and on.You need to install/reinstall the drivers for the card. Without the drivers, the computer will not know that it is there...

if you type msinfo32 inthe run box.....it will diplay a list of the left of the screen.....click  COMPONENTS/ click/ mutimedia/ sound device.....what does it say.......or click problem DEVICES........a code should come up ....??
Have you checked that you have not muted the sound.....right click on the speaker icon and untick the mute box.......>>wmp do the same......>or whatever player you are USING from cdrom/audio/filesHas the sound ever worked?CALL them out .......its under warrenty.....providing you have not messed with it??
