Answer» My soon to be ex-son in law , put my WIFE's LAP top , with windows 7 , on a proxy server . It had some ad-ware on it ( thanks to my grandson ) . My wife tried to run a " Malwarebytes anti-malware version " program that was installed on the computer . Now a screen POPS up saying " can't connect to proxy server " I just want to put in normal running condition . We don't think it even needs a proxy server . I imagine it was to do something illegal anyway .We found the ANSWER . She went through the control panal and eventually found a window to uncheck .
