Answer» Anybody have any experience with disaster recovery? I had a hard drive, I guess the TERM is "crash", over the weekend, and some work I've been doing is on it. Some was backed up, but the most important, som of my wife's Christmas photos was not. They are of the grandkids & IRREPLACEABLE. also about 4000 Karaoke songs prepared for the computer. I'd like to get them back if I can. The drive was a slave 200gb Maxtor. The computer only recognized 135 gb of it, and I opened up and formatted the last 65gb. All was WORKING well, and I was USING both partitions, until I did a system restore to undo some changes. When the restore was complete, the computer only saw the last 65 gb. The geek squad at our local Best Buy could not open it. Any ideas?here is some software that MAY help, but if they are that important before trying ANYTHING at all, I WOULD contact a data recovery service. It can be kind of pricey, but..........
