Solve : Digital Security Box (for DVDs) are they safe?? |
|
Answer» I bough a First Alert DELUXE Digital Steel Security Box, it has a key lock and a Digital security where you program the code to lock the Box. I have some valuable DVDs (original Movies) and some burned copies. If I leave them in the Box for a long period of Time will they still be able to be used to watch when PLAYED on a DVD or on computer or with they GET damaged over a period of time. If I leave them in the Box for a long period of Time will they still be able to be used to watch when played on a DVD or on computer or with they get damaged over a period of time. ............compared to.........what! All DVD packaging has WARNINGS.....do not get wet, do not leave in the sun, do not exceed X degrees C etc etc. http://hometheater.about.com/cs/dvdlaserdisc/a/aadvdrota.htm My personal experience is that Cd's and DVDs are generally damaged from improper handling, and sometimes even from careful handling. Being locked in a box shouldn't matter at all, and if ANYTHING it should help protect them. |
