Answer» I was doing a system restore that took forever. I shut the computer down before the system restore finished. When i try to open the computer, it says that some files are missing, and when i press alt ctrl and DELETE it says that it can't find it. Please help me out with my problem.The following steps may help solve the issue: 1. Before Windows XP loads, press F8 2. Select Last known configuration that worked from the list. Should you be succesful, do not use system RECOVERY again. It will create more problems than it can actually solve more often than not.Or boot to safemode chose the cmd prompt.... SFC - System File Checker - (SFC /Scannow) /SCANNOW Scans all protected system files IMMEDIATELY. /SCANONCE Scans all protected system files at the NEXT boot. /SCANBOOT Scans all protected system files at every boot. /REVERT Windows XP: RETURN to default settings.
