Answer» I have Windows 10 and in the Device and Drives I have three, and among them the Floppy Disk Drive (A:). When I click on it, it tells me to insert a disk, but there is a disk inserted, a Memorex DVD-R. What can I do so I can read what is in the disk? Thank you. A Memorex DVD-R is an optical DISC, not a floppy disk. And, you mentioned the Floppy Disk Drive (A:), which does not accommodate DVD, or optical, discs. How many drives do you see when you open File Explorer and click in This PC? Anna Ruth The disk in left side of my laptop is round and says on it Memorex DVD-Rfoxygrandma By tradition the A: is reserved for a floppy disc but any other. The floppy disc is in a square plastic envelope. Colons may vary.
