Solve : Deleting files takes forever? |
|
Answer» I have a partition on my PC, d:, the second partition of ONE sata hdd of 160giga. I use ghost to backup my old partition to it and convert it to NTFS using command prompt command, convert d:. Then I found it took forever to delete files on that partition. After a LITTLE research, I LEARNED that the cluster SIZE of the converted partition was 512 bytes. Then I managed to modify the cluster size to normal, 4k, by using paragon partition manager 5.5. But it is still slow. Can anyone help? I have tried defragmenting.Info>http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;309000&sd=tech |
