Answer» :-?I made a database in this new program I just started using. It's called eLibPro, it tuned to be the right desicion for what I needed it. But now the problem is that I have to make it available for all the employees of the company where I work? Please help Marija :-/ ps. heres the link to download the program http://songstech.com/elibpro.htmlIn other words, you want the employees to be to access this from their computer, not yours? Is your office set up on a computer network? Even if it is, eLibPro must be designed to work on a network and I see no INFORMATION on their website indicating it has that capability. So, even though you like it, I believe it's not designed to be a multi-user system and you will not be able to make it accessible to employees from other computers.
By the way, eLibPro does have it's own forum. That would be a logical place to ask questions about it. But, I believe you'll either have to use eLibPro as a single user application or search for something that will, in fact, run in a network environment.thnx soybean i'll TRY the forum i wanna save waht i did on eLibPro, cause i spent a lot of time working on that lately. so i hope there's a way. i'll keep you updated in what i discoveredYes, by all means, save you did in eLibPro. You might be able to export it to another program.in the formun, among the FAQ i found and answer it says that i can export the FILES as XML, and then have the OTHERS import them the same way. But can anyone explain to me what XML means? and anything more they know about it[flash=200,200][/flashXML is basicically a text-based format for describing data of almost any type. (Google "what is XML" for more.) A lot of modern software can now import/export XML; its great advantage is that it is an internationally-accepted standard.
If you need a multi-user system, then you might not be able to get that for free. I suspect you really need a database server (e.g. MySQL). There ARE multi-user LIBRARIAN programs out there, but they generally aren't that cheap. I could write a bespoke solution, but it would be a big job, and even more expensive than purchasing something off the shelf, I think.
