Solve : Cyclic Redundancy Check?!?

Hey guys, I' not sure where this should GO..
Problem with a game, but usually PROBLEMS arise from Microsoft..

I'm trying to play my Age of Empires 2 game but when I install, there is a cyclic redundancy error so then I try to copy the install files onto my HARD drive to RUN it off there.. and i get cyclic redundancy errors there too..  My cd is kinda dirty but a year ago the game worked fine... any suggestions?!http://www.softwarepatch.com/tips/cyclic-redundancy.htmlDoes this help Tien? http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;269608
