No, I'm talking about Vista installation DVD...yes... but i got it through dell so it a disk that says "operating SYSTEM reinstallation dvd windows vista home premium...."This is gonna restore your computer to its original state - as it came from the store.
Try to create new Restore Point, and see, if you can use this new one.so RESET everything and use the disk as a restore point?OK. If you don't have any IMPORTANT data on your computer, boot with DVD, you received, and it'll restore computer to its original state. It is the method for repairing file associations on Vista which sounds like part of your issues...oh... iwas looking for a cur file in the link... sorry MISUNDERSTOOD
