Answer» i am not sure in which category this question would belong...hopefully someone will browse through and assist me!
one of my (major) DUTIES at work is to monitor phone calls and record scores. right now it's done on paper, hard to track trends and such, and very very wasteful. i am looking for a way to do it on the computer, preferably on the server so others can access it (and leave comments, but not make changes). i envision a format similar to web polls, where you click a little circle or box to choose the answer. i would need it to track in lots of different ways: by category, by operator, by team, etc. i have heard that microsoft access could do this, but that it's terribly complicated. i am fairly computer literate, and pick up new programs well, but i have played around a little with access and am completely dumbfounded! thanks in advance for any tips, IDEAS, suggestions, offers to assist... i was so glad to find this site! -----ashleyYes, Access would be pretty much perfect for what you are thinking. Once you get used to it, it is pretty easy to use. You MAY be able to tweak one of the templates found here.http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT101426031033.aspxhere
If those are no HELP, post back and I will see if I can help you with your questions.wow. that was quick and wonderful. thanks!! i checked the website you offered, there are several templates that could work, the 'call tracker' or 'customer service' ones being, i think, the best suited. the 'tasks' one looks extremely useful as well! i am preparing to get our office up to ISO standards, and using these forms seems perfect. however, i am clueless as to how to make changes. can you give me basic tips? if i download a template, will it be self-explanatory? is there some tutorial i can use--preferably online, free maybe? can you beam yourself here and sit next to me and explain it all?!?!here i DONT know what version you will be using, 2003, 2007 or other so just put that infront of access then research.
