Solve : CPU error message?

Answer»

When I TURNED on my computer today my monitor didnt turn on. I tried turning it on later and everything worked fine, except i got a message: ˝CPU unworkable or has been CHANGED. press F1 to continue or del to enter setup.˝ I pressed F1 and everything was fine for 5 minutes and then my monitor shut down but the computer didnt. This HAPPENS every time i turn on the computer. I've never had problems with my computer because it's relatively new. Can anyone help?

EDIT: Ok, I solved the error message problem, it doesn't show up anymore. But my monitor keeps shutting down by itself. Anyone has any ideas?Check all settings under Power Management in Control Panel...

Course we still don't know what flavor of Windows this is.windows xp professional

Under Power managment it says UPS SERVICE is currently stopped. Does that mean anything? No.

It means you don't have an uninterruptable power supply hooked up.

It has nothing to do with your situation.Ok thanks.
So, do you have any idea what my problem might be?The 3 most common reasons for shutdowns are
Heat
Bad PSU
Bad RAM.

Have the laptop checked out at a reputable SHOP in your area...
