Solve : copying home dvd to hard drive?

Answer»

Hi im trying to copy a camcorder mini dvd to my hard drive. The disk has been finalised in the camcorder, when i insert the disk in the pc it recognises & plays the full dvd of 45min.

However when i try to import the disk using coral video it only records the FIRST chapter about 19seconds & does not seam to recognise the rest, even after ticking record all chapters.

I thought this may be a FAULT with coral but the same is happening when using format factory.

Im trying to find another way to copy the dvd using windows vista media player but there appears to be no record facitity. Anybody got any advice?? You should try ONE of the tools listed on this page: http://lifehacker.com/380702/five-best-dvd-ripping-toolsCan't you (simply) open or right-click/explore the video file (cd) by Windows Explorer and copy/paste it on a CERTAIN location of your drive? Thanks jason2074 the explore copy & paste method works great in that it copies EVERYTHING across.

I used axara video converter to convert it to wmp but didnt like their title in the middle of the screen at all times, or the their screen borders so ill use another free package to convert the video_ts file to wmv. Prob one above.

But at least i know the whole thing is able to convert now, so chers.
