Answer» for some reason.. the only way that anything at all will open (not just the internet) i have to hold down the control key! i tried turning off all popup blockers.. and it still didnt work.. PLEASE HELP ME!!Scan for viruses, trojans and spyware.
What operating system are you using?
Did you check Start -> Settings -> Configuration -> Disability settings? Perhaps something there has been tagged.I am using windows XP and cannot find Start -> Settings -> Configuration -> Disability settings... sorry. i guess ill try and get updated virus stuff and do another scan.. I use a localized version, thus translations may not be proper.
It is an icon with a disabeled person in a wheelchair.are you using a touch screen? and not a mouse?>http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/assistance/HP052700241033.aspx and this >http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308949as far as i can tell nothing has been tagged in the disabilty settings.. and IM not using a touchscreen.. i did another virus check and it still happens! do you think it might be a firewall problem? i just got service pack 2I recently installed Service Pack 2 and other than a dodgy Internet CONNECTION for 2-3 resets I have no such problem.
Next to your Systray there should be a keyboard Icon. Did you check if everything is configured properly as WELL?
And can you tell when your problem started and how?well.. this just started yesterday.. i dont know how exactly... i was just wondering if it was a firewall problem because i have 2 firewalls. one is service pack 2 and the other is bsafe online.
and sorry but.. what is systray??ok ok never mind i figured it out. thanks anyway guys!
I experimented with Bsafe online and found out it was just a popup BLOCKER gone beserk! hehheh but its fixed now!I recommend either Sygate Personal Firewall or Free ZoneAlarm as a firewall. I never heard of 'Bsafe' and I have never seen it either. You can turn off the SP2 Firewall unless you have no problem with it. As for a pop-up blocker.. Why not use Mozilla Firefox a browser with a built-in pop-up blocker.
I believe SP2 also provides Internet EXPLORER with a pop-up blocker.
