Plug one end into the Droid X. Plug the other end into a TV with HDMI INPUT. The FUNCTIONALITY is a bit limited on the Droid X, THOUGH. You can only output images from the gallery. Anything else INVOLVES hacking/unlocking and we don't do that here. I tried that already, but there's no steps on where to connect to the television. Does the TV have a little socket like this, around the back? Stick the other end of the cable in there. if your TV does not have one, I guess you're out of luck. We do not have your friend's TV in front of us, nor do we have its remote control in our hand, and we especially do not have the TV's user guide. Therefore it would be difficult to give other than very vague advice. You should be posting in a Droid X forum. Better still, get your friend to.
