Thats Cool BTW.Until you figure out what it means...

This is an indication sent to the PC speaker from the computer's BIOS that the CPU fan is failing or has failed, or that the power supply voltages have drifted out of tolerance. This is a design feature of a detection circuit and system BIOSes DEVELOPED by Award/Unicore from 1997 on.

hmm, I guess I was wrong on this one, sort of; it's a power supply/VRM issue, not necessarily a motherboard issue.

Furthering; bad voltages CAN result in an imminent CPU failure, so I apologize for my passages that claim the song says otherwise.

Hey I just saw the page a long time ago and it struck me as odd that there was actually a MS KB Article like that. I just never forgot about it lol.

You definitely know more on the subject then I do

Here's another KB that struck me as odd. The words "Friendster," "Klum," "Nazr," "Obama," and "Racicot" are not recognized when you check the spelling in Windows Vista and in Windows Server 2008

Thank you Pink! That is just what I needed to jog my memory! I am almost positive you have the right answer. I will pick up a new fan tomorrow.  Thanks again! And for those unfamiliar with this problem, it is indeed an actual song and not computer beeps. The curious thing though is the 'song' started immediately from a very cold startup and not only that, when I unplugged the tower, the song continued for about 3 seconds after the unit powered down. As I suspected. When unable to address and solve the problem, divert. Good luck. You will someday make a grand politician!

How exactly did I divert?  I responded to just about every point in your post.  You completely and utterly failed to reciprocate this.

Next time you have a problem, instead of being lazy, start your own topic, provide some actual information, and don't attack those being civil to you.  I'll make it a point to specically not help you, but someone else will surely come along because you're just so charming.

In all honesty, this topic should be locked, but I'll give it a few more minutes. Quote from: donaldhere on December 12, 2008, 08:03:07 PM
Thank you Pink!

lol, all he did was tell you to get out and "that cool BTW".

I believe you mean EvilFantasy  Quote from: BC_Programmer on December 12, 2008, 08:15:08 PM

I got a CHUCKLE out of that also I think I would get the same response if somebody said "thank you for your informative post made of well formed sentences, Squall" Quote from: BC_Programmer on December 12, 2008, 08:15:08 PM

Ha ha, you slay me.  Maybe he just thinks Pink Floyd deserves the credit.

Also quite funny.  SADLY, I don't think the day will ever come.Wow! Everyone save the moderator seems civil! To save further embarrassment CB, I would close this out as soon as possible. I sincerely thank everyone else for their helpful suggestions. Quote from: donaldhere on December 12, 2008, 08:28:18 PM

So you'll start a new thread? Quote from: donaldhere on December 12, 2008, 08:28:18 PM

You do realize that your second post here was an insult directed at me, don't you?  Completely unprovoked, I might add.  I was perfectly civil in my first response to you; I still don't see how it deserved any name-calling.  Alas...I will indeed lock the thread.  Not to save you embarrassment as you requested (don't fret, DONALD, it's just a computer forum), but because it has become off-topic and we already have a section of the forum specified for such discussion.

Enjoy the rest of your stay.  I do believe we are going to have lots of fun together.
